- Walking into the swanky brand new office of Dr. Andrew Jacono, 630 Park Avenue, we noticed Damien Hurst art on the walls, a sleek elegant decor, a VIP waiting room, and walls strewn with plaques showcasing the philanthropic work Dr. Jacono does in third world countries as a volunteer surgeon with “Beyond our Borders” and “Healing the Children”, providing free surgery here and abroad for children needing reconstruction due to birth defects, trauma, or disease.
Dr. Jacono is a dual certified plastic surgeon specializing in facial plastic surgery in his Manhattan location. He is prominently know for The Natural Looking facelift, making patients look up to 15 years younger without that pulled skin effect we have all seen on actresses and socialites. Looking at before and after photos on his computer, the transformations are truly amazing. The results are you, only better, well you 15 years ago. Natural best is his motto.
Over a timespan of 20 years Dr. Jacono developed and perfected the most advanced deep plane lift. The procedure lifts the cheeks, jowls, and neck line. The key to a youthful appearance is a strong jawline and lack of jowls, even more important than wrinkle free foreheads or eyes. Incisions are made under the muscle layer leaving skin intact, unlike in a standard facelift. This creates a natural looking appearance without any tightness.
Dr. J knows that not every patient is ready or wants a surgical face lift. He offers several non-surgical options using Ultherapy to lift, strengthen, and tone the skin. The treatment is 30 to 60 minutes, lasts 2 to 3 months with no downtime. Sculptra, known as the liquid facelift, builds collagen in cheeks, across the jawline and under the eyes. the injections create a rested rejuvenated appearance. A firm believer in a natural looking appearance he customizes filler dosages where needed on the face to not create an over filled face. Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiuses, and laser treatments are performed as well depending on the needs and goals of the patient.
During the consultation the Doc explains the expected results and expectations for every procedure. He is brutally honest so that patients understand that fillers/non-surgical options are great, but they will not heed the same result as a lift. He explains the advantages of pro-active treatments to prevent aging and how work on younger patients can have better and longer lasting results.
Dr. Jacono’s 3rd book “The Face of The Future” gives a more in-depth insight into the most modern/ hi -tech current invasive and non-invasive procedures available to maintain a youthful appearance. The book can be purchased here: Amazon.com

Dr.Edward Alvarez “Bro-Tox” Day of Beauty. Cosmetic Dentist, Wrinkle Eraser and much more…. @NYCLaserDentist
The last few years has seen a huge rise in men requesting non-invasive anti-aging outpatient services that were normally reserved for women. Men wanting to look younger but not done are booking Botox, Juviderm, and Kybella injections (removes fat from the chin aka the double chin.
Dr. Edward Alvarez has been a distinguished cosmetic dentist practicing his craft in The Murray Hill area of Manhattan for almost 20 years. A fellow of The World Clinical Laser Institute, the most respected organization leading to advancement of lasers in dentistry. Dr. Alvarez holds degrees from several top schools including a degree in acupuncture from Harvard Medical School.
About a decade ago Dr. Alvarez discovered the close connection between cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetic enhancement. As we age we develop lines, lips lose their fullness, and skin loses its tightness due to collagen loss.
Dr. Alvarez became certified in dermal fillers for the reduction of facial wrinkles and in lip augmentation. He figured that by closely examining, and charting a patients face, yes he actually plots where the injections will go with a sharpie like pen for accuracy and symmetry purposes, he can achieve the most positive results for his patients. His patients come in to fix their mouths and walk out with both their teeth and faces revitalized.
During the “Day of Beauty” we had the chance to meet celebrity chef Chris Nirschel and former NY Giants Christian Peter, while they spent time with Dr. Alvarez and got pampered.

Hilaria & Alec Baldwin host an evening for The Dacor Modernist Collection Launch of Premium Kitchen Appliances @DacorKitchen @SamsungUS @837NYC #SamsungDinner
Late last year Samsung acquired Dacor, a premium home appliance designer. A complete collection of luxury kitchen appliances that bring focus to the kitchen as a centerpiece for entertaining and connecting with family and friends.
The Modernist Collection was launched on March 15th in NYC at Samsung 837. Hosted by Hilaria & Alec Baldwin, who are huge fans of the brand. With 3 kids under the age of 4, much of their time is spent in the kitchen, so a kitchen that is outfitted to be functional, stylish and interactive is of utmost importance to the family. Samsung CEO BK Yoon explained how technology and innovation are key to lead the way in the premium home appliance design market. Guests were treated to cocktails and dinner while they got the chance to interact up close and personal with the appliances.
Wisewear was conceived out of the reality that the population is getting older, but is also more fashionable and tech savvy than previous generations. The company collaborated with 94 year fashion icon, designer and innovator Iris Apfel to design the Socialite collection, comprised of three uniquely designed smart bracelets that are equally functional and fashionable.
The primary features of these trackers are the norm and include text, email, calls, footsteps, and calorie counts, but what sets these bracelets apart is the distress signal feature that sends out a signal to ones contacts in case of a fall or other safety emergency.
Originally designed for an older consumer because of the distress feature and a higher price point ($295-$345) it has been discovered that younger women also had a need and a desire to own a trendy fashionable accessory that can go with any outfit and provide them with a piece of mind knowing help is easily accessible if they should need it. Now available for purchase at Saks Fifth Ave and other retailers abroad. #Sponsored

I have wanted to get a tattoo for years and even though my son is a tattoo aficionado with multiple tattoos, I was still reluctant. However, When I was recently invited to attend a pop up shop at The House of Monkey, owned by tattoo artist extraordinaire Lalo Yunda and his lovely wife, I decided to take the plunge. Lalo Yunda hails from Columbia and began his career with a homemade tattoo machine while developing a style of tattooing mixing fantasy and reality with difficult techniques and intricate colorful designs.
To celebrate The launch of Mike’s Harder Tennessee Barrel Lemonade, Harder collaborated with Lalo Yunda to create one of a kind tattoo designs on the Limited Edition Collectible Cans. Lalo, who appeared on Season 2 of Spike TV’s “Ink Master” is a self taught artist whose signature style is described as “magical realism”, which includes mythical elements combined with true to life images. The HARDER inspired tattoos feature designs such as a Skull, Snake, Dragon Horse, Bird, Jellyfish, and Coo-Coo Girl.
Yunda believes “Tattooing is one of the biggest art revolutions in history, and over the course of the next few years, collecting tattoos will of the same caliber as collecting fine artwork”.

The Fox & Jane salon originated on the Lower East side in 2011 and has since grown to four New York City locations with a fifth outpost in San Diego. Co-owner and founder Lorean Cairnes explained the theory behind the salon and how she felt there was a niche that needed to be filled. Lorean explained that traditionally in this business high -end salons, a la Madison Avenue, are typically formal and can be conceived as cold where she wanted to create a fun, friendly, and a family environment without sacrificing professionalism, technique, and always being on trend.
Lorean is very creative and when discussing my hair listened to my goals and fears and came up with a solution I would be happy with. With lots of color and highlights in my hair she opted to go darker at the root instead of lighter and added Balayage throughout instead of the typical foils to control exactly where she wanted the color to be. As a long hair person and being fearful of having my hair chopped off she trimmed my hair and added soft layers to give my hair much needed body. My hair is much healthier and more manageable as a result. The products used in the salon are formulated without harsh chemicals and are made for color treated hair.
The Fox & Jane salon is located at 104 west 83rd street. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about other locations visit foxandjanesalon.com
