the Lodge has 170 rooms and suites with fireplaces ensuite, rich dark decor, and huge bathrooms with high end amenities. A heated year round pool with underwater music and a hot tub add to the relaxation factor. In mid January when there was a cold spell in San Diego and temperatures fell into the 50’s we still witnessed guests in the pool!
The lodge has two dining options, however the highlight of our stay was bar none our dining experience at A.R. Valentine. Executive Chef Jeff Jackson brings the best cuisine California has to offer with a farm to table experience and a seasonal menu based on produce that is in season and available at the local farmers markets and from small growers. The wine list complements the menu and the service is first class all the way.
